Biz Highlight: The Hungry Nerd

Heating things up for a hungry YouTuber.

Kicking off the new year, Bryan met Ed and quickly learned their shared passions for hot sauces. With that, Ed commissioned 35 media marketing. with a simple logo animation for his YouTube channel to "heat" up his web series!

Ed, a.k.a. The Hungry Nerd, started his YouTube channel last year and has slowly built a following through his mix of videos covering various pop culture themes. From "let's play" videos, foodie crates and challenges, and tackling the popular "Hot Ones" line-up of hot sauces, Ed's 16,000+ viewers are always hungry for more.

With this, Ed came to me to create a new opening/transition graphic to spruce up his channel. Given he already had an established logo and theme, the animation itself was clear and simple from the beginning. Outside of a codec issue here or there, I was able to create his “munch” animation quickly and you can see it on his latest video.

If you’re interested in Nintendo games, international snack crates, or just the feeling of hanging out with a far-off friend, I highly recommend checking out The Hungry Nerd. He’s got a lot of great ideas for upcoming videos, and I can’t wait to see how the “munch” is used in his videos in the future. Head on over to The Hungry Nerd and subscribe to his channel today! Check out the video below to see the animation for the first time.
